Hello all,
I’m here to talk about one of my author friends again. I met her years ago in San Luis Obispo, California when we joined a writing critique group. We were in the group with 2 other people, also talented, writing an assortment of types of novels – YA, fantasy, etc. My friend Liz’s writing is so unique, I can’t even categorize it. It defies genre!
For example, one work she submitted to us during that writing group years ago, was about a teenager who was struggling with abusive parents and had lucid dreams, and how connecting to her lucid dreaming capabilities helped her create friends and start making a support system. At least, that is what I remember from it so long ago.
I’ve blogged about her achievements before, here.

A little About
I bet you’re wondering who this friend of mine is. Here’s a bit of the blurb from her Amazon Author Page!:

ELIZABETH RODERICK grew up as a barefoot ruffian on a fruit orchard near Yakima, in the eastern part of Washington State. After moving all around the West Coast, she now lives in a tiny house in Eastern Washington, where she grows most of her own food, builds things out of wood, and writes books.
Sharing
Today I’d like to share her work again. Her work is genuinely out-of-the-box, evocative, emotional, and quality writing.
Here is a link to her publications: Author Elizabeth Roderick
I hope that something I’ve said has encouraged you to at least check out her page, if not buy her books! She is a gem.
What are some authors that you find defy genre? That when you pick up their books, you’re really excited and don’t know what to expect? Would love to find out in the comments!
Until next time,
Chaitanya
